Another week has passed and our internship program first:exposure is well under way. The teams are settling into their tasks, exploring new marketing tools and expanding their knowledge.
Meet “Team Analytics:” Jawad and Sameer.
Jawad keeps an analytical eye on the acquisition success for our clients, while Sameer takes on the study of customer retention.
Analytics is important to support all of our marketing efforts to see how well our marketing efforts are working. Exposure is honored to have Jawad and Sameer on its team, as both are majoring in analytics in NYU’s Integrated Marketing program. They have done courses such as database management, CRM: Managing Customer Experience, Advanced Test, Web Analytics and Business Analytics.
Jawad and Sameer are working hard to monitor the performance of our clients’ websites as well as the social, email, and search marketing campaigns Exposure created. Keeping a tight watch on the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns and the key performance indicators (KPIs) allows Exposure to quickly modify any campaign with strong knowledge management. Everything Sameer and Jawad measure and recommend is in direct correlation with the client’s business goals. As Sameer and Jawad learned in Professor Borek’s NYU class, KPIs keep us honest towards what we should do, and what we should not do, in terms of not just marketing actions but all other activities from across the company.
About Jawad and Sameer
Jawad Khan is a six-year marketing professional who has consistently grown sales and profits through launch of new businesses and development of effective social media programs. Current studies and projects focused on further developing marketing analytics expertise. He has a background in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA prior to pursuing Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing with concentration in Marketing Analytics. Jawad’s background allows him to understand the business processes better and to make more informed decisions.
Sameer Trikannad is a marketing professional based in New York. He is a student of NYU where he specializes in marketing and data analytics. Sameer has recently worked as a Marketing Manager at Unboard Games, a game studio in Berkley, California. He came originally from a finance and commerce background and he completed his Bachelors majoring in accounting from Mumbai, India. Sameer got his first taste of marketing while working at Epigram online, a marketing agency whose clients included Bollywood movies. As part of the agency’s digital team he worked on social media campaigns. He has since worked in start-ups and agencies in Mumbai and in New York. Working in two different diverse cultural centres of has given him a perspective of Western and Eastern culture, which has helped him better understand the world of multicultural marketing.
